Stimulation

Do you live your life stimulated or do you trudge through life? Do you have plans and passion to drive you and stimulate you. Stimulate, according to Dictionary.com is to rouse to action or effort, as by encouragement or pressure; spur on; incite. Most people have something that stimulates them. Life is a long search for that stimulation. Life is difficult, if not impossible, without stimulation. It’s hard to get a greyhound to race without giving it a rabbit to chase. I have never met anyone who couldn’t credit their success to the object of their stimulation. If people are not stimulated they are normally driven by the stimulation of others in accordance with their plans and dreams.

Even before I found recovery from my addictions, any success I had was founded on some sort of stimulation.  I was always either being drawn through life with some form of stimulation or being chased from behind. We can either be drawn by some form of love or pushed by fear. As a young man I had no dreams so I was driven by fear. I started life off balance, barely surviving, even with much more expended energy than my current lifestyle. Fear motivates, but usually in a direction in opposition to God’s will for me. When I found recovery, I had a lot of work to do, to get on the right track. But with God’s help I found my heritage, latent talents and stimulation.

Today I have been reborn. I am stimulated by the knowledge that I am loved unconditionally by my creator. It is mankind and me that has set such high standards for me and my life not God. When I spend sufficient time and energy in prayer and meditation I find myself stimulated by simple things. I am stimulated today by serving others and treating everyone and myself with dignity and respect. I am stimulated by God through acceptance and admiration from the people I serve. There are seven point six billion people on the planet and we must all find our own stimulation. If you want to know what stimulates you remember…

About Randolph Ek

My name is Dr. Randolph Ek, Mpsy.D. I started life as one of five children of an alcoholic father. The physical and mental abuse nearly destroyed my life. In fact my self-destructive behavior nearly landed me in prison. I eventually was guided to an alcohol/drug counselor and he directed me to a rehabilitation center. Since that time I have spent more than thirty years devoted to helping people find their ultimate potential.

We can blame our negative, spiraling life on victimization but until we accept responsibility the power we need is beyond us. When we accept our part in our lives and surrender to a higher power, which I choose to call God, intervention is immediate. God allows us to realize our true power. We are all made in God’s Image and Likeness and have all the power of the universe at our disposal.

We are not victims; we are volunteers and once we believe this truth our lives become limitless. God wants us all to have our heart’s desire and he will deliver whatever we continually think about good or bad. Unless I start my day off powerless and humble I cannot make the spiritual connection required to tap into God’s limitless power.

God loves mankind and refuses to leave anyone behind. We can go willingly or we can be dragged to salvation. Pain is merely a symptom of spiritual separation mind, body and spirit. Realize, your individual limited resources, seek help, join others in their quest for spiritual understanding. Realize that all religions are right, yet they are also incomplete.
