In the book Alcoholics Anonymous, page 76, Into Action, it is stated, “Remember, it was agreed at the beginning, we would go to any lengths for victory over alcohol.” It was this statement that has kept me poised for future growth as I continue to be willing to go to any lengths. Lengths according to Dictionary.com has many definitions but the one I am discussing is, extent in time; duration. Any lengths are 100%, limitless, boundless, unending. God has gifted me with over thirty-seven years of freedom from alcohol and drugs, which has given me an opportunity to relive my life; in turn I go to any lengths to find his will for me.

I wake up each morning and begin my day with prayer and meditation. I read out of seven different inspirational books, covering all the addictions I am afflicted with. I never walk out of the house with my own human thoughts. Starting the day with inspiration sets me up for intuitive thought throughout my day. I must go to any lengths, staying disciplined, in creating habits that bring me closer to God. It is me, closing the gap between God and me, that requires discipline, to any lengths. God is always giving me it’s all and for me to acquire my ultimate potential I must stay constantly committed to my spiritual self, while staying active in my human life.

If all mankind would stay focused on God or whatever they believe to be the ultimate energy in the universe, love would prevail and fear would dissolve. The Universe is God. It is only in our human condition and on this planet that we experience fear or what I call, “NOT GOD.” Fear is not real. Fear is an illusion created by humans through separating itself from God. It is imperative that we go to any lengths to stay focused on God and know his good for us in order to dissolve fear. We cannot separate God from us but we can separate us from God. If you want to know what lengths you need to go to in order to stay connected with God, remember…

Your Life is PERFECT!

About Randolph Ek

My name is Dr. Randolph Ek, Mpsy.D. I started life as one of five children of an alcoholic father. The physical and mental abuse nearly destroyed my life. In fact my self-destructive behavior nearly landed me in prison. I eventually was guided to an alcohol/drug counselor and he directed me to a rehabilitation center. Since that time I have spent more than thirty years devoted to helping people find their ultimate potential. We can blame our negative, spiraling life on victimization but until we accept responsibility the power we need is beyond us. When we accept our part in our lives and surrender to a higher power, which I choose to call God, intervention is immediate. God allows us to realize our true power. We are all made in God’s Image and Likeness and have all the power of the universe at our disposal. We are not victims; we are volunteers and once we believe this truth our lives become limitless. God wants us all to have our heart’s desire and he will deliver whatever we continually think about good or bad. Unless I start my day off powerless and humble I cannot make the spiritual connection required to tap into God’s limitless power. God loves mankind and refuses to leave anyone behind. We can go willingly or we can be dragged to salvation. Pain is merely a symptom of spiritual separation mind, body and spirit. Realize, your individual limited resources, seek help, join others in their quest for spiritual understanding. Realize that all religions are right, yet they are also incomplete.
