Direction

Do you take direction? If you do, do you take it easily or only after finding your own information erroneous? Dictionary.com describes direction as a line of thought or action or a tendency or inclination; the direction of contemporary thought; instruction or guidance. I have found it very hard to take direction in my life. I think the problem started with many people in my life offering me direction whose lives didn’t prove that the information was trustworthy. I think my inability to take direction had the same roots as my inability to trust others.

I recently had a surgical procedure done. My doctor told me to follow a rigid set of directions following my release from the surgical center. I followed the directions to the letter. The reason I was so loyal to my doctor is due to the tremendous amount of trust I have in him as a doctor and believing in him. The last thirty-seven years of program has brought me to trust. The golden rule is, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” I always have! I hated and distrusted me and therefore I passed that along to everyone I met.  It’s hard to have faith in people if you haven’t learned to have faith in you and your God.

I have two distinct entities in me. I have an Ego, my human self, which can’t be trusted. I also have a Soul, my spiritual self, which is PERFECT! Whichever of these two entities you feed, grows. If you live for your human nature you will find yourself to not be trusted. If you pray and meditate the Soul grows and your intuitive nature becomes well balanced and trustworthy. When I am tuned into my spiritual nature I seem to know when I need direction and I follow that direction easily. When I am tuned into my Ego I listen to no one. If you want to know whether you should take direction remember…

Your Life is PERFECT!

About Randolph Ek

My name is Dr. Randolph Ek, Mpsy.D. I started life as one of five children of an alcoholic father. The physical and mental abuse nearly destroyed my life. In fact my self-destructive behavior nearly landed me in prison. I eventually was guided to an alcohol/drug counselor and he directed me to a rehabilitation center. Since that time I have spent more than thirty years devoted to helping people find their ultimate potential. We can blame our negative, spiraling life on victimization but until we accept responsibility the power we need is beyond us. When we accept our part in our lives and surrender to a higher power, which I choose to call God, intervention is immediate. God allows us to realize our true power. We are all made in God’s Image and Likeness and have all the power of the universe at our disposal. We are not victims; we are volunteers and once we believe this truth our lives become limitless. God wants us all to have our heart’s desire and he will deliver whatever we continually think about good or bad. Unless I start my day off powerless and humble I cannot make the spiritual connection required to tap into God’s limitless power. God loves mankind and refuses to leave anyone behind. We can go willingly or we can be dragged to salvation. Pain is merely a symptom of spiritual separation mind, body and spirit. Realize, your individual limited resources, seek help, join others in their quest for spiritual understanding. Realize that all religions are right, yet they are also incomplete.
