About Randolph Ek

My name is Dr. Randolph Ek, Mpsy.D. I started life as one of five children of an alcoholic father. The physical and mental abuse nearly destroyed my life. In fact my self-destructive behavior nearly landed me in prison. I eventually was guided to an alcohol/drug counselor and he directed me to a rehabilitation center. Since that time I have spent more than thirty years devoted to helping people find their ultimate potential. We can blame our negative, spiraling life on victimization but until we accept responsibility the power we need is beyond us. When we accept our part in our lives and surrender to a higher power, which I choose to call God, intervention is immediate. God allows us to realize our true power. We are all made in God’s Image and Likeness and have all the power of the universe at our disposal. We are not victims; we are volunteers and once we believe this truth our lives become limitless. God wants us all to have our heart’s desire and he will deliver whatever we continually think about good or bad. Unless I start my day off powerless and humble I cannot make the spiritual connection required to tap into God’s limitless power. God loves mankind and refuses to leave anyone behind. We can go willingly or we can be dragged to salvation. Pain is merely a symptom of spiritual separation mind, body and spirit. Realize, your individual limited resources, seek help, join others in their quest for spiritual understanding. Realize that all religions are right, yet they are also incomplete.

Conditioning

As a metaphysical psychologist, before I can implant a new idea into a client’s mind, I must condition them. Conditioning, according to Dictionary.com has dozens of definitions but the one I am going to cover is a circumstance indispensable to some result; prerequisite; that on which something else is contingent. Conditioning is a process of dissolving self-defeating beliefs in order to make room for enriching beliefs. If one is not properly conditioned the new concept or idea will be polluted with remnants of the old idea or not allowed to enter entirely. Benjamin Franklin noted, “A man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still.

To help someone change their mind is a difficult undertaking. The art of persuasion is much more of a science than an art but is probably a combination of both. Salesmen get a bad rap as they are well versed in the science of persuasion, which is merely a form of conditioning. If people would evaluate their needs and wants and arm themselves with all the choices they might confront, they probably would not be manipulated by salesmen.  When we all begin to learn to condition ourselves by questioning our truth and learning other ways of seeing things we will gain a power and self-respect that we were intended.

I am much more confident by evaluating all the boogie men my clients bring with them for me to disarm. Most of us have been told the truth held by others only to find that it is not our truth. Until I began to investigate my vaults of truths I have been handed did I find how much I was marching through life unarmed. By evaluating my own life and what does and doesn’t work for me I become conditioned to accept new truths. Even new truths may only be transient, therefore I inventory my beliefs often and thoroughly. I doubt that my clients will ever receive nearly the results that I do. If you want to know where to start your conditioning remember…

Direction

Do you take direction? If you do, do you take it easily or only after finding your own information erroneous? Dictionary.com describes direction as a line of thought or action or a tendency or inclination; the direction of contemporary thought; instruction or guidance. I have found it very hard to take direction in my life. I think the problem started with many people in my life offering me direction whose lives didn’t prove that the information was trustworthy. I think my inability to take direction had the same roots as my inability to trust others.

I recently had a surgical procedure done. My doctor told me to follow a rigid set of directions following my release from the surgical center. I followed the directions to the letter. The reason I was so loyal to my doctor is due to the tremendous amount of trust I have in him as a doctor and believing in him. The last thirty-seven years of program has brought me to trust. The golden rule is, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” I always have! I hated and distrusted me and therefore I passed that along to everyone I met.  It’s hard to have faith in people if you haven’t learned to have faith in you and your God.

I have two distinct entities in me. I have an Ego, my human self, which can’t be trusted. I also have a Soul, my spiritual self, which is PERFECT! Whichever of these two entities you feed, grows. If you live for your human nature you will find yourself to not be trusted. If you pray and meditate the Soul grows and your intuitive nature becomes well balanced and trustworthy. When I am tuned into my spiritual nature I seem to know when I need direction and I follow that direction easily. When I am tuned into my Ego I listen to no one. If you want to know whether you should take direction remember…

Heaven

A song recently released, called Heaven, makes me wonder. When people hear the word heaven where does their mind take them? The word heaven, according to Dictionary.com is the abode of God, the angels, and the spirits of the righteous after death; the place or state of existence of the blessed after the mortal life. What is your idea of heaven? Is heaven the magic of your mind or a true place? Does anyone really know? There are no facts to consider but there are millennium of ideas and thoughts that have been expressed.

I believe that heaven and the Garden of Eden are synonymous. They are a place we go when our thoughts and actions and will are aligned with God’s. I have had periods of heaven in my life and hope to continue to achieve higher forms of consciousness in my forward movement through my spiritual quest. As long as I awaken each day with humility and childlike wonder and awe I expect to lose my human anchor and become pure spirit and at one with God.

The biggest problem I find in having heaven beyond my reach is that I am a very impatient person. I experience heaven whenever I lose myself and find satisfaction through helping others. I experience heaven whenever I immerse myself in nature. I find heaven whenever I spend time with my friends or family. I know God wants me to be happy, joyous and free. When I am being the person God intended me to be I am in heaven. Whenever I turn my will over to him and accept life on life’s terms I am in heaven. If you want to know heaven remember…

Coincidence

I have heard most of my life that most things are coincidence. How can people say they believe in God and believe in coincidence? Coincidence, according to Dictionary.com is a striking occurrence of two or more events at one time, apparently by mere chance, accident, luck or fate. If a person believes in God then accidents, luck or fate cannot be valid. I was told thirty-seven years ago that coincidence is an occurrence God chooses to stay anonymous on. I believe that if God is capable of designing, building and running a universe, then God can easily work wonders in my life if I am willing to turn over my free will God blessed me with.

When I turned my will and my life over to the care of God originally, I turned merely my defects over to God. After decades of God removing and helping me to overcome my defective character, my faith increased and I began to slowly turn over my assets. Today I have a deep seeded trust that whatever I turn over to God will improve. God’s has a job description; to bring us our heart’s desire. Our heart’s desire is God’s desire for us. To allow God to bring us our heart’s desire we must first relinquish our will. If I hold on to any idea of coincidence I have not given God all my faith.

I begin everyday with mediation and prayer in an attempt to surrender coincidence to God’s plan. The only part of the universe God can’t control is the part where we were given free will and refuse to partner with God for our ultimate potential. I couldn’t have written a plan for my life that would have been nearly as perfect as my life has turned out and I give all the credit to a life of surrender and not a life of coincidence. I have been blessed with adversity that has shown how powerless I am and how much I need a helping hand from a loving and caring God. If you want to know how to move your life from coincidence remember…

Propensity

My father died at 45 years of age from a massive cerebral hemorrhage. None of his brothers lived past sixty years of age from heart and blood pressure problems. My mother’s side of the family suffers from heart failure and diabetes. I have been told that I have a high risk of having these similar disorders. I believe at worst I have a propensity to these disorders but I am not guaranteed to end up with family problems. Propensity, according to Dictionary.com, is a natural inclination or tendency. This may mean that I have acquired family DNA or it may mean that I have acquired the habits or behaviors through living in a dysfunctional family.

I have studied psychology, physiology, heredity, nutrition, etc., which can all lead to family health problems. If nothing changes; nothing changes. I may have a propensity to family health problems built into my DNA but with proper care and constantly updating my daily input I can overcome a death sentence. I am the master of my life and refuse to allow my past to design my future. The roadmap to my future is based on my NOW!!! If I am willing to correct my direction I can design improvement in my destiny. Over a year ago I changed my WOE (way of eating) to Ketogenics. Many of the physical, mental and spiritual defects have been corrected merely by eating in a way that satisfies me in every area.

When my body is satisfied with proper exercise, healthy food, nutrition and proper vitamin and mineral supplements, it treats me lovingly with great health. My thinking is sharp, my blood pressure and pulse is perfect and my energy level is high.  My thoughts are moral, my intuitive mind is alive, my patience is increasing, my stress is low. These attributes help me to realign my propensity toward good health. I am the master of my life. God has blessed me by granting me my heart’s desire. I have made this possible by making my heart’s desire God’s desire for me. I align myself to God through prayer and meditation. If you want to know how to improve on your propensity to poor health remember…

Exaggeration

Do you exaggerate things when you describe them? Do you embellish on the details of things when explaining them? Exaggeration, according to Dictionary.com is to represent disproportionately. Exaggeration is usually a sign that a person is not satisfied with themselves or their life. When we realize that we are all a unique representation of a corner of the universe that only we can represent there seems to be no use for exaggeration. It is only comparing ourselves to others that creates a lack of self-satisfaction. I am made in the image and likeness of God and that spiritual self is my oneness and is perfectly connected to me.

I don’t need to exaggerate. I need only to describe what I am, what I am feeling, what I am experiencing. I am my uniqueness and to try to be anyone else is a travesty of my spiritual self. I need to be proud of what I am, of what I feel, of what I experience. When I realize my true self and release my false ideas of what I should be, I find a closeness to God that opens my intuitive self or God consciousness. Once I am on the same plane as God I begin to flow with the spirit and make decisions that promote the whole of my life experience and not just my selfish needs. Inspiration is becoming open to my heart’s desire or God’s will for me.

It has taken over half my life to realize God’s will for me. God’s will for me holds no room for exaggeration. I need only share my spiritual experiences and the spiritual awakenings they have prompted to be doing God’s will for me. I need only search for God and help others find Nirvana, heaven, paradise, serenity, tranquility or enlightenment to be blessed by God. When one finds their oneness with God and combines it with their talents their success is guaranteed. It is God’s pleasure to reward us for our loyalty to our purpose. If you want to know what you were meant to be without any exaggeration just remember…

No

Do you have a hard time saying “NO”? Many of my clients have a hard time saying no. This creates a problem with relationships as a person who can’t say no draws people to them who take advantage of them. No, according to Dictionary.com, is a negative used to express dissent, denial, or refusal as in response to a question or request. I personally don’t think of yes and no as being positive or negative, same as I try to see my experiences. God is not pro or con; God is law! There is not good or bad if we learn from it. Yes and no basically mean I’m in or I’m out. When someone makes a request of me I need to be sure of my answer because it requires action I may not want to take.

When I say yes I am most often willing to help joyously. while no separates me from further action. When I get requests for help I ask myself am I helping them or enabling them to not meet their own needs. I have been sorry for saying yes much more than I have been sorry for saying no. When I say yes I am committed. If I say no and change my mind I have not lost face. I use to hold many a resentment from being taken advantage of. The resentment was not toward the individual that took advantage of me but me for allowing it. Most of the time if I take time to evaluate my decision I tend to make much better decisions.

It is not always easy saying no. Many times I may want to help someone but either it is outside my ability or I feel I am doing them a greater disservice in saying yes than no. Most people will grow exponentially if they are given the chance to find their own way out of their dilemma. When I evaluate my motives I often find that I am brushing my Ego when I say yes. If I say yes, I pray I am able to help someone achieve a goal that is beneficial to their life, business, family or future and they are willing to carry their share of the weight. I will usually make the right choice of yes or no if I continually remember…

Creativity

Are you utilizing your maximum creativity? Are you constantly seeking to bring your best to anything you do? If you are constantly utilizing your maximum creativity you are making yourself irreplaceable. Creativity, according to Dictionary.com is incapable of being replaced, unique, one of a kind. If we don’t spend a significant amount of time praying and meditating to find our true-selves, there is no possible way we can know our true self and if we don’t find our true self we cannot find that creativity that sets us apart from everyone else. It seems we are all trying to find ourselves through comparison, which is anything but unique.

Our individuality is where we will find our ultimate creativity. We were made in the image and likeness of our creator and we must find our inner uniqueness if we are going to be irreplaceable. If I find what our inner perfection is we realize our special purpose, our special talent, our oneness with God and our part in the oneness of the planet. God is the universe and we are all molecules of God. We cannot all be the mind of God. We cannot all be the heart of God. We cannot all be more or less than who God meant us to be in order to create the tapestry God calls life.

I have had sixty jobs, seven careers, and experiences special to me and my life path. My experiences are as creative as my talents and my DNA. I am constantly reviewing my past experiences in order to wring out as many lessons as I can without having to re-experience. Every experience is multi-layered. There are many lessons within each tailored experience.  God is constantly using creativity to help me find my own personal experiences, which unearth my own creativity. If you want to know how to get in touch with your own personal unique self, remember…

Temper

Do you allow your life to be tempered by adversity? Temper, according to Dictionary.com tempered, as I use it is a metallurgical process to reach a degree of hardness and strength imparted to a metal, as by quenching, heat treatment or cold working.  Life can equally temper us by bringing us hardness and strength through adversity and success. When I see my life as neutral, both good and bad having equal value in my life I can see God working in my life for good. When I begin to judge my life and the experiences I am offered I differentiate the good and the bad. It is seeing all that happens in my life as a blessing that allows my life to temper.

I am constantly inventorying my life and my experiences in order to appreciate my life and not judge. If God is in control of the universe and I am merely a player in the grand scheme of life, then I must accept all of my life as a blessing. I am grateful for all that I have experienced in my life: the loses; the gifts; the mundane and the excitement. I can see God’s DNA on all of my life. I can see how I have ridden in the front seat and been drug behind, based on my acceptance or not. God is in my life whether I am willing to play by the rules or not. The difference between allowing God to temper me or not is the determining factor in my pain.

My work with people has shown me that the strong have learned that their truth is within them and properly tempered by adversity, their pain is minimal. People who have not allowed God to temper them with love and understanding allow the world to own them and dictate their emotional wellbeing. I know that God has loved me every second of my life. None of my experiences were punishment, but were blessings. I use to be rigid and wishy-washy. Today I am firm, yet flexible. I am loved by people who know me and I love people who allow me to. Adherence

Do you have the discipline to adhere to a particular life process? Whatever your philosophy there are life processes that will bring you into alignment of your true self. Adherence according to Dictionary.com is the quality of steady devotion, support, allegiance or attachment. Adherence is a commitment. Most people can adhere to something for a short sprint but many cannot hold a course for an extended period of time. It is important to know that the only way to hold a course for an extended period of time is to follow your heart’s desire.

A person’s heart’s desire is not what they want, it is what God wants for them. Our heart’s desire is attached to who God want us to be. It can be found by finding our talents. We can take an employment inventory and see what we enjoyed and what we didn’t. Our heart’s desire will bring us satisfaction. I may have things I don’t like to do but I am willing to do them in order to do what I like to do. Most people are working for a paycheck and not for satisfaction. We must be satisfied if we are going to adhere to a long exhausting life process.

I have had sixty jobs and seven careers. I have liked parts of most of my jobs with only a few that were merely to get through a hard time. When I crawl into a client’s head I realize how I needed most of my past experiences in order to not get lost in the mire they are struggling with. I don’t know how anyone could be a good psychologist without the experience. I don’t think any classroom teaches enough to get through life. Trial and error mixed with science and art will make a person great. If you want to know how to adhere to a life process remember…
