Substance

What is substance? According to Dictionary.com substance is that of which a thing consists; physical matter or material; form and substance. I have read several articles with the idea that if God can exist without origin then the universe can also exist without origin. This is not a very thorough argument in that if the universe has always been, where did the intelligence behind the substance come from. There is a cyclic pattern in all that exists from birth to death back to birth. This is all in conjunction with a Power Greater than Ourselves I choose to call God, that is continually creating and re-creating.

In our human existence, lying in our core, exists a power, “a chip off the old block,” born in the image and likeness of God. Of all God’s creatures we are the only true creators, if we are open to God’s energy to move through us. We are not the actual creators but merely the co-creators. Because we are made in the image and likeness of God, we are capable of unlimited great things. When we link our minds to God’s mind we not only unlock our abilities but we expand our imagination. Mankind is continually reinventing our preconceived limits.

We have been given tremendous substance to work with and there is enough form and substance on our planet to provide all of us with everything we can imagine. The more we pray and meditate, the more we align ourselves with God. The more we become spiritually motivated we can manifest substance into dreams. When we look back fifty years we will be amazed at what we manifested and how most of it was beyond our imagination at any earlier time. My greatest manifestations came at the direction of intuition or God. If you want to know how you can manifest substance into your dreams remember…

Omnism

I recently found a word that fairly describes my spiritual faith. The word is Omnism. According to the Urban Dictionary, Omnism is the belief in the validity of all religions. I am a metaphysical minister and not a member of any religion. I find truth in all religions and what they decide that separates them is also what I find that alienates me from them.  I believe in a Master of the universe. I call that Master God. I believe God to be unconditional love or grace. I don’t believe that God has any favorites or is going to leave any of his seven-plus billion children behind, no matter how many lives it takes.

If God is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent then he understands that in our physical self we are fallible. When we surrender ourselves to God and learn, through meditation and prayer, to follow God’s guidance. When I am separated from God I am merely an animal. Science is also right in many of its aspects and I can no more separate myself from science than I can from any or all of man’s religions. We need to connect with God both vertically and horizontally. We must pray and meditate and share our ideas about God and life with others.

I find most of my horizontal spirituality from memberships in several twelve step groups. It seems that my addictions point out my character defects or spiritual roadblocks. It seems easy to find solace in stuffing my spiritual void with pleasure or physical comfort. The problem with using pleasure to replace God is that not only does the pleasure not fill the void but it actually increases it. The farther away from God I get, the higher price I pay as my spiritual discomfort increases. God will never stop loving us, which may get pretty painful. If you want to know if you are an Omnism stand back from your life and remember…

Routine

All successful people develop routines. A routine, according to Dictionary.com, is regular, unvarying, habitual, unimaginative, or rote procedure; an unvarying and constantly repeated formula, as of speech or action; convenient or predictable response. When I worked as an instructor for Smith Systems vehicle driving education it was my duty to drill basic driving skills into drivers into a routine. Each seven seconds a driver would look out fifteen seconds worth of distance, scan back to mirrors, scan all mirrors and back to fifteen seconds of distance. This would keep a driver constantly aware of current information allowing new information preference to response.

I have symptoms of ADHD. I have a hard time staying focused, especially if I don’t have passion for the procedure. Passion should have priority in a person’s life and everything else should be routine. When I have a routine in my life I am less stressed and more available. When I get up in the morning, the first thing I do is relieve myself and read from seven motivational daily readers. This routine has turned into a very positive habit. When I start my day with positive affirmation my day runs smooth and dependable. I can get more done when my focus is not spread too thin. Routine has changed my life and allowed me to live with those character defects that are attached to my DNA.

Positive routines develop positive habits and positive habits develop positive lives. When one is living one’s life guided by spiritual principles, one is within God’s grace and walks hand in hand with the Creator. We are made in God’s image and likeness and when the procedures in our lives are turned over to habits through routines we are present to focus our passion on our dreams, plans and goals. There are things in everyone’s lives that are unpopular and difficult to accomplish but routines help significantly. If you want to know what in your life should be prioritized and established in routines remember…

Sacred

Is your life sacred? We see almost half of all the marriages in our society fail. Could it be that our relationships, in fact all our lives, are not sacred? Sacred according to Dicionary.com is connection with God or dedicated to a religious purpose and so deserving veneration. Since the government got involved in marriages, they have been on a continuous downward spiral. I agree with separation of church and government but it seems that church cannot be involved in state but state can be involved in church.

Marriage should only be important in the eyes of God. You can call whatever other partner commitment people may join into anything else but marriage. You can offer the same governmental subsidies to all partnerships but marriage should remain sacred. When marriages were sacred they lasted. They may have been difficult, but they lasted. If we would return to the church’s concept of marriage we would return to equal respect, which is the center of a successful marriage.

My marriage is only a small part of my sacred life. When I think of how God might admire the conduct of my life my life goes well. When I move in a negative direction it is usually because I move faster than God. A sacred life is a life moving slowly and methodically with constant intuitive spiritual communication. My life is not mine it it God’s and I must treat it with love and respect. I am blessed with a wonderful marriage because when I make a mistake I ask for forgiveness from God and the person I offended. If you want to know if your life is sacred remember…
