Initiate

Everything in the physical universe initiated from something. In fact, if all the laws in the universe were to be combined into one law, it would be cause and effect. Initiate, according to Dictionary.com is to begin, set going, or originate. Everything, on a physical plane is initiated by something. And all that we know was initiated by God. God was not initiated. So all that God is, is, was and always will be. This is why all hope, faith and trust, must be in God and nothing else.

God is pure energy. God is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent or present everywhere, knowing everything and having unlimited power. For us to achieve our ultimate potential we must open our minds to God’s mind. We must pray and meditate constantly in order to replace our selfish ideas and align our thoughts with God’s thoughts. We are made in God’s image and likeness, which is spirit. Spirit flows through us and empowers us. It is God’s power through us which allows us to initiate or manifest in our lives.

Everything on this planet that is not natural is made by man with materials we borrowed from either on or in the earth. The ideas were initiated by God through us. We can initiate negative by misusing God’s spirit but there is a price to be paid for this behavior, which we have all experienced. When my will is aligned with God I tend to initiate greatness and when I am not I initiate lack. The great thing about God is that although we may turn ourselves away from God, God never turns away from us. If you want to know what you need to initiate, remember…

Cognizance

As a metaphysical minister and a metaphysical psychologist I am constantly looking for cognizance. Most people lack cognizance at some level on at least a few areas of their lives. I can only know what I know and my Ego doesn’t want me to admit I am weak on any front. Cognizance, according to Dictionary.com is awareness, realization, knowledge, notice or perception. The more one knows about themselves the more chance one has in finding themselves. Many people have spent immeasurable amounts of time in molding us into who they thought we should be with little to no consideration to what we needed, in the name of love.

The reason my life was almost destroyed by alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, food or anything else is a lack of cognizance. Worldly things can temporarily distract me from my discomfort. Discomfort is my conscience trying to guide me toward a Godly existence. When I spend sufficient time in prayer and meditation I am spared discomfort. This freedom allows me to separate myself from my unhealthy habits until cognizance becomes a constant mental habit. Today although I may be tempted to recoil from daily negativity, I have faith that God will deliver me.

Today I am cognizant that God will not fail me. I am constantly taking personal inventory to insure I never disregard my illness. It seems that when I neglect my spiritual connection I quickly slide back into worldly habits, even when I think I have resolved them. I cannot resolve my human self; I can merely stay cognizant of them and pray for God’s help in conquering them. As stated on page 85 of the book Alcoholics Anonymous, “All I have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of my spiritual condition.”  If I am to stay cognizant of my life I must remember…

Alienation

I have had a few clients who were so loyal to something that they alienated themselves from what they needed to grow. Alienation according to Dictionary.com is the state or experience of being isolated from a group or an activity to which one should belong or in which on should be involved.  Alienation normally occurs from believing something we were taught even though it never really worked for the person who taught it to us. Our parents alienated us from who we are as they tried lovingly to guide us down a path they had been sold on.

I normally don’t surrender a belief until I have seen the folly in following its direction. I was brought up by a father who was 100% Swedish. He had already broken from most Swedish traditions. He was, although, saddled with many ideas that he never questioned through loyalty to certain factions of his belief system. Once I hit my bottom and was awarded a new life with new opportunities I have let go of all my loyalties. I can’t sail toward lands unknown, if I never untie myself from the dock.

Everything I have been taught has been necessary for segments of my life but I am not willing to alienate myself from my ultimate potential by staying unwittingly loyal to anything other than God. I tell my clients never wait at the airport for your ship to come in! I pray daily for intuition. As I was created in God’s image and likeness, I am blessed with both conscious and intuition. I must learn to follow my intuition if I am to learn to trust in it. I can afford to alienate myself from anything other than God, therefore I must be willing to start my day with a clean slate, remembering…
