Settle

Do you settle? Is your life enough? Are you living up to your potential? Settle according to Dictionary.com has many meanings but the one I am interested in is to be satisfied with. God wants us all to have our heart’s desire but we must be careful to see the difference between our heart’s and our head’s desire. Our heart’s desire pleases our soul and our head’s desire pleases our Ego. The bible says we either serve God or mammon. God is our soul and mammon is our Ego. When your life is going well and you feel you are overpaid it might be the only time for a little settling and time to count your blessings.

I always feel I am overpaid and am constantly counting my blessings yet I never settle. I know that the louder I live, showered with God’s love and abundance, the more people may ask how they too may can get on the band wagon. I have been living a grateful life for over thirty years and have never hidden the fact that all my greatness is a gift from my higher power who has become God, the highest power. My God dispenses love, generosity, kindness, fairness, equality or any principal of God.

Spiritual principals are available within any and all spiritual literature. One of my favorite sources of these is the book Alcoholics Anonymous. It states that we need only practice spiritual principals and good things come. I have shared the principals found in this book below for anyone interested in a simple scale to evaluate their spiritual life. We must measure our behavior by these principles to make sure we are not settling for a life based in Ego.  Another thing one can do to evaluate one’s spiritual life is to remember…

Teamwork

Teamwork according to Dictionary.com means cooperative or coordinated effort on the part of a group of persons acting together as a team or in the interest of a common cause. In the late Dr. Steven Covey’s book, “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, teamwork is discussed. The term Dr. Covey used was Synergy. Synergy means the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.

As we were all made in God’s image and likeness we are all family. The more of our family we cooperate with, the more of God’s love and energy is added to our efforts. The added efforts should be linear but is actually logarithmic. When one moves out of self and mingles with fellow humans, especially ones that vary greatly in opinions one adds to the overall health of humanity. Teamwork is the best work. We get applause and criticism, which grows us as individuals and grows us as a humanity.

I like my time alone but equally like my time with others. I feel a balance of growth and contemplation is required for personal growth and esteem. To be comfortable in team settings one must work on low self-esteem, shyness, arrogance, self-centeredness, pride and a myriad of soul searching treatments. Do not assume that one must possess perfection to be adequate in team environments. It is actually the team itself, overseen with love and compassion, that heals the soul. If you want to know what you next team should be remember…

Variety

Variety is the spice of life!!! Variety according to Dictionary.com is the state of being varied or diversified, different, discrepancy. I believe that as we are made in God’s image and likeness we are driven to experience the diversity of the universe. I love different cultures, foods, sports, interests, landscapes or any experiences. Once I have experienced something I have a right to like or dislike as long as I don’t allow my opinion to narrow my open mindedness. I must diversify my life with variety.

As a compulsive overeater there are foods that tends to set up compulsive eating habits for me and I need to remove them from my diet. To overcome the removal of certain foods from my diet I increase the variety of the foods I can eat. I replace certain foods I love that don’ t love me with foods that do love me. I have found replacement foods that tantalize my palate without the tendency to overeat. Without variety in my food choices I begin to lose interest in eating healthy and eventually fall back into self-defeating behavior.

I have found compulsive behavior in much of my life. I have had to add unlimited variety to overcome the loss of interest in what I call life. Life is not what I do it is God’s spirit within me and I experience God’s spirit by enjoying God’s universe. As I experience God as a child with wonder and awe, I vary my experiences and enjoy all of my life. What I have determined as good and bad, my life experience has shown me I really don’t know the long term effects of my experiences and all experiences turn out to be good for me. If you want to know where in your life you need to vary remember…

Source

What is your source? Where does your money come from?  Where does your security come from? Where does your happiness come from? Where does your love come from? Where does everything come from? Dictionary.com defines source as any thing or place from which something comes, arises, or is obtained; origin.  If we don’t look at the source of our wealth we will never inherit it! I go to my source constantly throughout the day in prayer and meditation through gratitude.

The bible says that God made everything including us! So your check comes from your company. Your company gets its money from it’s services or materials through it’s customers who get their money from other outside sources. My friend Conrad Burns, retired U.S. Senator from Montana, said that all NEW money comes from off the earth or within the earth or new products. All of these raw materials come from God and the thought and actions that produce them also come from God through us.

I know many people who should feel blessed with their lives and instead live in depression. Even if one was to think that their jobs are their source you would think they would have gratitude and devotion toward their jobs and they don’t. Gratitude and devotion toward the source perpetuates the flow from source. When we awaken to the knowledge that our source of all we have comes from God we will rejoice and give thanks and praise. When God has our full attention the blessings flow like a great river. God will fulfill our lives once we remember…
