Flow

I have talked to several people this week about service work. It is vital that we perform service work. We are all given spiritual direction and this is like the flow of fresh water into a body of water. The problem is that if we don’t have a flow of water out of the body of water to take away the water the water becomes stagnant and eventually poisons the body. The medium we are talking about is spirit or God and the term we are talking about is flow. Flow according to Dictionary.com is to circulate. We must take fresh spirituality in and pass spirituality along to our fellow humans.

Spirituality can be achieved in two forms; vertical spirituality and horizontal spirituality. Vertical spirituality is contact directly with God, through prayer (talking to God) and meditation (listening to God).  Horizontal spirituality is talking and listening to God through our fellow human beings. All humans are interconnected and it is the flow of God that creates life and inspires us to Godliness. When we are guided and powered by God our possibilities are unlimited. When the flow of God is constant our body’s, minds and souls are rich and healthy.

We must never stop communicating with God. We must maintain constant conscious contact with God. It is the lack of this communion with God that awakens the human need and lend our addiction to worldly things to fill the God hole in us all. Trying to fill this God hole with worldly things not only doesn’t fulfill our craving but enhances the pain created by the distance from God. When I am in constant communion with God and my fellow humans the spiritual flow is enriching my life. When I get to busy to add God to my life my life suffers. If I want to know if I am giving God enough of my life all I need to is remember…

Accomplishment

The greatest joy of life is to accomplish. It is the getting, not the having. It is the giving, not the keeping.  ~ Frederick G. Banting (1891-1941). Accomplishment according to Dictionary.com is an act or instance of carrying into effect, fulfillment; the accomplishment of our desires. Self-esteem is a direct result of accomplishment. People who accomplish their dreams are much happier, confident and serene than those who rest on their laurels and accomplish little or nothing.

It is important to have dreams, goals and intricate plans on how to accomplish results. One must think freely and open themselves up to spiritual guidance, while taking responsibility for their thinking. If we don’t take control of our thinking we can never achieve our ultimate potential, which is God given to each and every one of us. We may be created equal but we are not created the same. We all have certain personal attributes that make us unique and special.

We are all given a certain set of orders that are imprinted on our psyche. We are born with our purpose and our dreams lead us to our own truth. We will find our special purpose when we cease fighting and surrender. We must find our direction within and not at the hands of people who try to convince us this is for your own good. Only I know what is my own good and it is tattooed on my Soul. If you want to know what you need to accomplish remember…

Heuristic

Are you heuristic? Heuristic, according to Dictionary.com is the act of encouraging a person to learn, discover, understand or solve problems on his or her own as by experimenting or by trial and error. Sometimes the only way someone can learn to trust themselves is to forgive their past and get tremendous encouragement through unconditional love. This type of support not only grows the patient but also helps to further one’s own growth. You cannot help another through heuristic support without helping oneself.

Giving advice is not heuristic. Telling someone what to do is not heuristic. Even well-meant guidance is not heuristic. What is heuristic is sharing one’s experience, strength and hope. As a metaphysical psychologist I not only share my own experience, strength and hope but experience, strength and hope of past case studies. Letting someone know that others have experienced the same challenges with success lessens the fear they are usually experiencing. Nothing beats experience when learning.

When the hope of success becomes greater than the fear of failure the progress can start. Through encouragement we can empower the patient to improve their faith, which adds to the probability of success. As people progress toward their goals their fears are driven away in lieu of spiritual support. God is always waiting to support us prompted by hope, which in turn becomes faith and eventually trust. When you are prepared to provide heuristic support to people you only need to remember…

Adulation

Our lives are a form of adulation to someone or something. Adulation according to Dictionary.com means excessive devotion to someone; servile flatter; ostentatious subordination of oneself to the wishes of another, either from fear or from hope of gain. We tend to establish heroes to whom we look up to. Adulation is a response to disregard for a person’s humanism or defects of character; a storybook focus on a person, place or belief.

I want to earn a person’s respect but not their adulation. I want people to always see that I am flawed like any human. I may have positive characteristics but I am equally flawed. People who are looking for another’s adulation suffer from extremely poor self-esteem and are looking to fix and internal problem with an external solution. All solutions are first resolved internally and then the wisdom from the experience help resolve the problem. This is why, “When the student is ready; the teacher appears.”

When I was going to school for my ministerial certification I had a full semester on transference. Transference is when people see you as a hero and look to you to solve their problems. The problem is that no one can solve my problems. Only I can solve my problems. Once I apply patience and perseverance and have accumulated the proper amount of information I can solve my problem.  We are each part of everyone’s accumulation of information. We are all students and teachers. If you want to lose adulation remember…
