Lifestyles

I have been studying human nature for over forty years. The main reason our society is on a downward spiral is primarily due to its lifestyle. Lifestyles according to Dictionary.com is the habits, attitudes, tastes, moral standards, economic level, etc., that together constitute the mode of living of an individual or group. As I have changed my lifestyle my life has continued to improve steadily. I create my life by t the choices I make and the behaviors I practice.

We as a society are strangling ourselves with unhealthy choices that produce our lifestyle. We eat for pleasure instead of nutrition. We worry about what we look like but do not take actions necessary to produce a healthy, lean body. We are being overtaken by diabetes, heart disease, cancer, obesity, respiratory disease and a variety of autoimmune diseases. Our bodies are so sick and tired of the way we have abused them they are serving us with sick and tired.

We need to eat properly, exercise often, pray and meditate for spiritual health and direction, play, serve others, love and be honest. We must do the right thing at all costs. Our souls long to one with God. We can achieve spiritual oneness by merely surrendering to God’s will. We can improve our physical lives by loving ourselves enough to remember that we either serve God or mammon. We must serve God or the good in our lives. If you want to know what you need to do to change your lifestyle remember…

Deception

Deception is a quality all people possess at some level. Some of human deception is conscious but most is subconscious or unconscious. To deceive, according to Dictionary.com is to mislead by a false appearance or statement. We sometimes deceive people by changing the details of a shared experience and other times we deceive by completely fabricating an experience.

The lower a person’s esteem or self-worth the more they seem to deceive others. The reason for the need to deceive others is based on the need to deceive ourselves. When I am not enough I need to build myself up or tear someone else down. I for one have a past that was filled with people I respected, my heroes, who put me down to protect their own esteem and in the process destroyed mine. This damage to my psyche has taken years to resolve and build.

Deception is not necessary if you LIVE LIFE LOUD! If you live your life to it’s fullest extent you will not need to embellish your life as it will perform at it’s own merit. Jan and I work hard to provide ourselves with a comfortable living, saving enough for retirement and living below our means in order to enjoy our lives. My father use to live loud never talking about his retirement and died at the age of 45. Are you living your life LOUD? If you want to know if you are deceiving yourself remember…

Compassion

Over the past few weeks I have had several friends lose loved ones. I am aware that although I have changed many of my beliefs about death I still have compassion. My compassion is not for the life or death of the loved ones but the grief and pain of the survivors. Compassion according to Dictionary.com is a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.¬†Thank goodness I try not to interfere with the suffering of others as suffering is needed to prove it’s lack of value.¬†

In my earlier life I had little compassion as the most consuming thing in my life was me. Today, because of my understanding of spiritual growth I work with scores of people who keep me out of me. When I am compassionate I am definitely not thinking of me. We are all made in God’s image and likeness, therefore all in one family. By associating myself with all of mankind I find my true value, helping others find our oneness. If we would all find balance in focusing on others and ourselves the world would be free of all war and tribulation.

We must grieve our losses and realize that what we love we are never separated from. The things I love about people are spiritual and are found in God and never die. Life is valuable no matter what face is on it, no matter what age is on it, no matter what color it is, no matter whether it is our immediate family or the family of God. My compassion comes from God and therefore is good. If I try to resolve the grief I abandon God. I sit with people and help them to understand their relationship with God and their fellow humans and support their feelings no matter what they may be. If you want to be compassionate remember…
