Arrogance
Arrogance is not the
by-product of self-esteem; quite the contrary. Arrogance is a symptom of egocentric low self esteem. It is a mask we wear when we aren't 100% confident. Confidence is often seen as arrogance to the arrogant, as it supports denial of their arrogance.
All knowledge is merely the best information we have at any given time and should not be construed as fact. When we hold tightly to our arrogance we prevent new information from growing our knowledge. To proclaim knowledge of God is in itself arrogance. One must constantly keep an open mind to new spiritual understanding. It is best to see all religions as right, yet incomplete as no one person, nor group of persons, can see all aspects of God.
I am continually studying world religions as it allows me to see God through the eyes of billions before me. I extend that research with the intuitive nature that being a child of God affords me. I get to know God as only I can know God and I try to allow everyone the same freedom. Living in the freest country in the world, we should never take even an ounce of someone else's freedoms. Using the excuse that we are interested in the well being of another does not offer us the arrogance of knowing their destiny.
This subject can be expanded into a discussion of victimism, self-righteousness, morality or any of thousands of arrogant denial modalities. If we all aspire to learning all that we can about God then we can quit arguing and warring over our arrogance and opinions, realizing that there are no facts about God for God is beyond description. Maybe it would help us all to remember...
