Political Correctness

When I hear the term politically correct I cringe! By accepting political correctness society has accepted a belief in victimization. Victimization is impossible as what people say to us is not what sets us off, it is what we tell ourselves about what people say to us that sets us off. Political correctness forces us to live within the confines of opinions set by society instead of opinions established within us by God. It is this external chaos that disrupts our conscience and separates us from God.

We all have a conscience, and deep within us we know right and wrong. We have the right to an opinion and freedom to share that opinion as long as we don't force it down society's throat. Similarly society also owes us the same respect. What society accepts or rejects about us will not fulfill us long term. Only what We believe about ourselves will truly satisfy us. We all must ask ourselves what we need to change in ourselves and when we achieve this we will realize we don't have time to try to change others.

Political correctness pressures us to become less and less responsible for our own feelings. Society already has enough negative influence on who we are without the pressure of political correctness. The challenge of the world's population is to live in harmony with each other and accept other's differences without strong effort to control them. All the world will become one in time but nothing we can do will make it happen. All we have to do is be our best, be patient, let God do what God does, and let it happen.

The sooner we accept that the world has the right to live as they choose, the sooner we will all become one with all our individual differences. It is our spiritual heritage to love all of humankind with the same unconditional love or grace that God offers us. We are made in the image and likeness of God and it is our Soul or God-self that provides us with truth.

Truth lies within us and not outside us. To realize and develop truth our focus must be within, constantly growing our spiritual awareness. We must continue to look internally, growing our spiritual nature, or Soul and not focusing externally, trying to enhance our human nature, or Ego. We must become responsible to our esteem by achieving our highest potential using our internal feelings about ourselves to set goals and plans on achieving our best.

My Ego looks for differences, while my Soul looks for similarities. My Ego works in fear, while my Soul works in love. My Ego tries to fill a lack, while the Soul tries to instill adequacy and lead us toward our dreams. It is our Ego that interferes with our dreams, while our Soul keeps us on track. I pray and meditate diligently in order to tune less into my Ego and more into my Soul. And to help me stay tuned in I always remember...

Your life is PERFECT!
