Out with the old and in with the new

From approximately 1391 BC to 1271 BC God supposedly dictated the first five chapters of the Bible to Moses based on societal needs 3400 years ago. It was necessary to set laws for societal behavior as it is today.  Whether it was necessary to set 613 commandments, divided into 365 restrictions and 248 commands is questionable.

Toward the end of Moses' life, he narrowed the 613 laws into a composite of 10 known as the 10 commandments.  These ten commandments were focused on God and Man. As I often say, "Humans see God as a man while God sees humans as Gods." Our godliness is God's spirit traveling through us with our permission or free will. It is God through us, which provides our power to manifest.

Approximately 1300 years later Jesus brought man into a new understanding of the law, based on more up to date informationWhen confronted by the Pharisees Jesus purported in Matthew 22:37-40, "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

There is much to learn in the Bible, as it is almost four millenniums of spiritual documentation and is authentication of the greatest spiritual teacher in history, that being Jesus. We cannot hold to the Old Testament, based in fear and superstition, if we are to accept the New Testament, based in love and renewal. Jesus not only taught the law of love, he proved it into eternity.

Although 631 commandments were whittled down to two, these two must be lived 100%, 100% of the time to find true happiness. Law is that which is irrefutable and if we loved God, ourselves and others with the grace that God has shown the world, the world would live in peace and harmony until there was no world. The law that is all law is love. Jesus' life was an example of love and that was his message. Remember…

I particularly liked the fact that a simpler way for man to see God and follow just 2 commandments made it easier for man to live a happy, peaceful life. I am looking for simpler in my life so I can focus 24/7 on what this message says to me. Thank you Randy!!!
