Trust

I am constantly told by my clients, "I trust!".  I believe they believe this statement.  The secret to trust is not that one trusts but what one trusts.  One must get comfortable with something to trust it and it is often the discomfort one feels that should be the question of trusting it.

I trust God! Not merely my awareness of God but my understanding that I may never actually know God. I know that God is GRACE, or unconditionally in love with me!  I know that although God wants me near, there are no expectation of that as I am allowed free will.  I know that I cannot make a mistake as God is always there to guide me back upon my surrender.

IN GOD I TRUST!  Everyone and everything else must earn my trust.  When evaluating the level upon which I will trust is guided by several items.  First, the item I am trying to trust must fit within my parameter of common sense.  Secondly, I must feel a spiritual bond.  Thirdly I must allow my evidence to brew.  Finally I must feel sold on my decision without reservation.  Any reservation shows my inability to trust and that is what I judge my level of trust on.

I will never trust anything as much as I do God!  I was with God before coming into this section of my overall life and I will be with God after this section of my overall life.  The energy I give God while I am experiencing this section of my overall life is what creates my joyful experience.

Today I trust that people will be people and that expecting them to live up to a higher standard is the only disappointment I will experience.  People may disappoint people but people cannot disappoint God as God has no expectations, only unconditional love. If all else fails, always remember...

Your life is PERFECT!

The universal truth and the path to real happiness and freedom is total trust in God.

The secret lies in putting this truth into practice, by making it such a powerful theme in your life that you view every event, every sorrow, every prayer with the unshakable conviction that God is totally, spotlessly trustworthy.

That's where we mess up. We want to trust in anything rather than the Lord. We'll trust in our own abilities, in our boss's judgment of us, in our money, our doctor, even in an airline pilot. But the Lord? Well…

It's easy to trust in things we can see. Sure, we believe in God, but to allow him to run our life? That's asking a little too much, we think.
The bottom line is that our wants may not agree with God's wants for us. After all, it's our life, isn't it? Shouldn't we have the say over it? Shouldn't we be the one who calls the shots? God gave us free will, didn't he? We fall for societies idea of what matters, the new car, relationship, promotion or whatever didn't bring us the happiness we expected, so we keep searching, thinking "Maybe next time." But it's a loop that's always the same, because we were created for something better, and deep down we know it.
Trusting in the Lord can require that you abandon everything you've ever believed about what brings happiness and fulfillment. It requires that you accept the truth that God knows what's best for you.

When I put my trust in the Lord, I felt as if the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders. The pressure's off me now and on God, and he can handle it perfectly.
